Silver Thread Chardonnay 2013 – Acidity & Tartness Reign

Silver Thread, Chardonnay 2013, Finger Lakes, New York, Wine Casual

Silver Thread, Chardonnay 2013, Finger Lakes, New York

Tasting Note: A bright, refreshing, unoaked palate cleanser.

Lemon-yellow to golden in color, this chardonnay has a nose of fresh lemon zest, honeydew melon, pear, and green apple.

On the palate medium-plus to high acidity hits you on the attack followed by chalk and clove baking spice at the mid-palate through to the finish.

Fruit flavors in the wine are secondary to acidity and tartness.

Bottle Note: Silver Thread Vineyard creates expressive, age-worthy wines in harmony with nature. Our boutique winery and sustainably-managed vineyard are located on the east side of Seneca lakes in the Finger Lakes region of New York. The turtle image on our label is an earth symbol to the Iroquois people and reminds us to care for the land and water that give us the gift of wine.
