Smith Story Riesling 2016 – Light, Bright & Slightly Spritzy

Smith Story, Riesling 2016, Rheingau, Germany, Wine Casual

Smith Story, Riesling 2016, Rheingau, Germany

Tasting Note: A riesling that is light, bright, slightly spritzy and filled with green fruit.

Pale-intensity, lemon-green in color, this slightly-pétillant wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of quince, pear, green apple, petrol, white blossom, white nectarine and lychee.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied riesling has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by high acidity and completing with a lemon-citrus-infused, medium-plus finish.

There is midpalate complexity and a pleasant depth of flavor.
