Sterling Vineyards, Winemaker’s Select Red Blend 2013, Napa Valley, California
Tasting Note: A red blend with oak baking spice riding above the black fruit.
Deep-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of candied raspberry, red currant, bramble, black plum and vanilla baking spice.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied red blend has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by vanilla oak and completing with a medium-plus finish.
The wine has a smooth texture with concentration along the midpalate.
Bottle Note: These wines represent small lot offerings created each year by our winemakers. Sourcing distinct fruit from specific vineyards, we look to highlight both the varietal characteristics and the terroir of the vineyard. These limited bottlings are made available exclusively to our wine club members and at the winery in Calistoga. Enjoy!
