Sunce Winery & Vineyard, Tres Italianos 2015, Fox Hill & Heringer Vineyards, California
Tasting Note: A hearty primitivo-led red blend with ripe fruit that is a perfect accompaniment to mushroom and red-meat dishes.
Deep-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of blackberry, red currant, black cherry, black plum and olive with hints of clove baking spice.
On the palate the dry, full-bodied red blend has medium-plus-intensity, black-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and ripe, medium-plus tannin.
The red blend is straightforward with moments of midpalate complexity.
A good red blend.
