Tap Rye, 8 Years Sherry Finished Canadian Rye Whisky, Canada

Tasting Note: A rye whiskey whose rye-character is on equal footing with its sherry-barrel finishing that smooths rye’s often rough edges making the resulting whiskey complex and characterful.

Golden-amber in color, this spirit has a medium-plus-intensity nose of caramel, vanilla, butter, clove-and-cinnamon baking spice, brioche and toasted walnuts.

On the palate the dry, full-bodied rye whisky has a creamy texture with medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose ultimately completing with a long, baking-spice-infused finish.

There is midpalate complexity that combines rye and baking spice.

Daddy like.

Bottle Note: A proprietary blend of rye whisky aged 8 years. To “tap” is an Old English word meaning “to draw liquor with a tap.” Produced from a reserve blend of Canadian Rye whiskies aged for 8 years, Tap Rye Sherry Finished is crafted in small batches using the time-honored tradition of the pot still. Aged in white oak barrels and finished with a touch of Amontillado Sherry from the Jerez region in Spain, the result is a distinctly fine spirit that is deep in color, and imbued with warm notes of nuts, caramel and a hint of berry.
