Tesoro de Bullas, Monastrell 2015, Bullas, Spain
Tasting Note: A straightforward monastrell that does the job.
Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has a medium-plus-intensity nose of black currant, black plum, vanilla baking spice, candied red cherry and blackberry.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied monastrell has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and grippy, medium-plus tannin.
Monastrell is a wine that has many versions of itself and this one is early-to-midweek, house-wine basic.
Bottle Note: Wine made with monastrell variety grapes, selected at their optimal moment of ripeness to offer medium-bodied wines, fresh, young and fruity. The production of this wine is done to make the most of these grapes, with the color and the typical aroma of this variety.
