Texas Heritage Vineyard, Old 300 Estate Red Blend 2019, Texas Heritage Vineyard, Texas
Tasting Note: A supple malbec and alicante bouschet red blend with enticing florality and a silky texture.
Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of black plum, cassis, hibiscus, blackberry, dried cherry and raspberry.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied red blend has medium-plus-intensity, black-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity, and ripe, medium tannin.
The floral and fruit elements are in perfect balance with neither one overpowering the other.
A Texas red blend that sings in your glass.
Bottle Note: Early Texas settlers were hardy, proud people who continually searched for innovative ways to survive and thrive. The Fredericksburg and Northern Railroad, better known to locals as “Old #9”, ran from San Antonio to Fredericksburg. This vital form of transportation was an innovative dream that became a reality. That historic railroad track runs thru Texas Heritage vineyard, in Grapetown, Texas. The train cars rolled over the rails from 1913 to 1942, forever changing travel in the hill country. It is the wish of those at Texas Heritage Vineyard that the wine named for this piece of Texas history will enhance and elevate your enjoyment of wine and all things Texan. God Bless Texas!
