The Boneline, Wai-iti Pinot Noir 2017, Waipara, New Zealand

Tasting Note: A pinot noir that is flavorful with a bouquet that is Northern-Rhone reminiscent.

Medium-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of bramble, black plum, violet petal and wildflower with a primal, earthy quality.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied pinot noir has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and soft, medium tannin.

Bottle Note: The Boneline is our watercourse to strange pasts. The river and the permeated landscape. The charcoal poem of ancient bones. The fossil’s hieroglyph. A deep and local telepathy of watercourse and strata. Wine grown on the shoulders of giants. Made here with humility and heart. Wai-iti Pinot Noir 2017. Pomegranate, munuka bark, pomander, Florentine, bramble tart, gossamer weave.
