Tasting Note: This ripe cabernet franc style captures the hot climate character of the grape varietal similar to cabernet franc from other hot-weather regions such as Mendoza, Argentina.

Deep ruby in color this cabernet franc has an intensely aromatic nose of red and black fruit including black plum, raspberry and red cherry with notes of chocolate, clove and cinnamon baking spice.

On the palate the medium-plus bodied wine is medium in tannin with the flavor of black raisin soaked in red fruit.

The cab franc has a slightly tart finish that completes with a velvety tannin feel.

A very enjoyable bottle that friends would enjoy.

Bottle Note: Between the fertile lands of Lodi and the mighty Sierra Nevada Mountains lie the Lewis Vineyards. The rolling vineyards extend to the banks of the misty Mokelumne River providing a unique cool microclimate for vines and wildlife. It was here where The Dancing Fox was first spotted enjoying the grapes. These luscious grapes were grown using sustainable farming practices. The complex flavors which you may taste in this handcrafted wine are the ultimate expression of the land and wines from which it was grown. Gregg Lewis, Winemaker.
