Tasting Note: A South African chardonnay kissed with 30% new French oak.

Pale-intensity lemon in color, this wine has an aromatic nose of medium-intensity vanilla oak baking spice, green apple and white blossom.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus bodied chardonnay delivers primary fruit flavors that show more on the palate than the nose.

There are under-ripe, lemon-citrus notes on the medium-finish.

Vanilla flavors are in the background.

Bottle Note: Uva Mira Mountain Vineyards, set amongst the clouds, nestled against the Helederberg, as high as 620 meters above sea level. With unparalleled views of False Bay, Table Bay and Table Mountain, bordering the Helderberg Nature Reserve. The unique influence of both marine and mountain climates gives our wine its distinctive character and exceptional quality. The Mira Chardonnay 2016 – A single varietal wine that reflects a true sense of place and a cosmic connectedness to the Mira binary star. Uva Mira translates as “The Wonderful Grape.”
