Waltz Vineyards, Baron Red Merlot-Cabernet 2016, Lancaster, Pennsylvania
Tasting Note: A merlot-cabernet-sauvignon blend with refinement and elegance.
Medium-intensity ruby in color, this wine has a medium-plus-intensity nose of red plum, red cherry, bramble and violet petal.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied red blend has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium-plus-acidity and slightly-grippy, medium-plus tannin.
There is midpalate complexity and balance between the fruit and tannin structure.
