Warwick Estate, Trilogy 2014, Stellenbosch, South Africa, Wine Casual

Warwick Estate, Trilogy 2014, Stellenbosch, South Africa

Tasting Note: A Bordeaux-blend-inspired red that showcases and delivers South African terroir in an elegant style.

Deep-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic nose of black currant, blackberry, black cherry and violet.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus bodied red blend shows restrained, yet ripe black fruit with well-integrated, ripe, medium-plus-to high tannin.

Definitely worth experiencing.

Bottle Note: Established vines. Elevated cool southwest facing slopes. Decomposed granite set in deep clay soils. Vines tended by hand. Curated French oak barrel selection. The purest expression of Warwick Estate. Cabernet sauvignon 55%, cabernet franc 28%, merlot 17%. Embracing elegance over power.
