Zorgvliet, Natural Sweet Sauvignon Blanc 2012, Banghoek, South Africa
Tasting Note: Am unintended dessert wine made by the winery because sauvignon blanc grapes for this vintage became too ripe.
Deep-intensity gold in color this wine has an aromatic nose of honey, apricot, pear and apple candy.
On the palate the sweet, luscious, full-bodied sauvignon blanc has mid-palate complexity and balance between fruit and high acidity.
A white dessert wine with beautiful, ripe-fruit flavors.
Bottle Note: Honey tones on the nose, lead to a mélange of golden apples and glazed pineapple fruit backed by balanced citrus fruit on the palate; deliciously sweet but clean on the finish. This wine will develop complexity in the next couple of years from bottle maturation.
