Zudugarai, Txakoli Malda 2018, Getariako Txakolina, Spain
Tasting Note: A Txakoli with precise angularity and racy acidity.
Medium-intensity lemon in color with some small, tight bubbles, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of green apple, blossom, white peach and lemon zest.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied Txakoli has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by high acidity and completing with a citrusy, medium-plus finish.
The wine is complex, steely in texture and palate cleansing.
A great Txakoli!
Bottle Note: Txakoli is one of Spain’s most classic wines to drink with seafood. This bottling, produced from estate-grown Hondarribi Zuri grapes grown within sight of the ocean, offers aromas of crisp green apple, lime zest, sea salt and green herbs with a light-bodied, refreshing mouthfeel.
