Tasting Note: A ruby-colored red burgundy decidedly deeper in color than other Louis Jadot pinot noir offerings, this wine has a nose of cinnamon and clove baking spice mixed with an ever-so-slight hint of fresh peach.

There is red fruit (40%) and black fruit (60%) on the nose including blackberry and red plum.

The aroma characteristics – baking spice and hints of peach – have been a part of the taste profile of higher-end wines of recent.

On the palate this wine is medium-plus to high in acidity; there is chalk but it is subdued. The wine has complexity and balance that shows in the fruit profile and depth of flavor.

This is wine that would be intriguing to taste over the course of an evening as it opens up in your glass.
