Tasting Note: A shiraz made in a reserved style that blends old-world restraint and florality.

Deep-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of summer blackberry, strawberry, black cherry, red currant and crushed violet petal.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied shiraz is like satin on the palate with medium acidity and well-integrated, medium-plus tannin.

The wine is balanced and completes with a medium-plus finish.

Bottle Note: The Kinnear was the ship which brought Johann Stein to Australia on 23rd April, 1838, so it is appropriate that this be the name of our flagship wine. The Kinnear is an icon of our family, a symbol of the great hardship and struggle of the past, and a celebration of our lives today. This 2015 Kinnear is just the second release of our flagship wine. It is 100% shiraz being made up by 70% Block BC and 30% from Block I. The wine was matured for 17 months in 40% new French oak Hogsheads and 60% older American Oak barriques. Winemaker, Jacob Stein, 7th generation. Andrew Stein, 6th generation. Bottle 519 of 900.
