Adelphos Cellars, Old Friends White Wine Blend 2019, Texas High Plains, Texas

Tasting Note: An easy-going white blend that would pair well with many a meal.

Medium-intensity lemon in color, this wine has a medium-intensity nose of green apple, white peach, orange zest and blossom with some hints of pineapple.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied white blend has medium-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and completing with a medium finish.

The wine is straightforward with a slightly-creamy texture.

I enjoyed this wine with a pork loin roast and it paired beautifully.

Bottle Note: At Adelphos Cellars, we believe wine is all about family. The word “adelphos” translates to “brethren” from the ancient Greek. The certainty that sharing an inspiring bottle of great wine brings us together as brothers and sisters, mothers and daughters, fathers and sons, is what drives our passion for making this wine. We invite you to share the fruits of our labor, in the hope that enjoying this bottle with those you love will bind us all closer together as one family. Welcome to ours. Our bright and uplifting white blend is named for one of the first tenets of Adelphos Cellars: that wine has the power to make friends of us all. The white varieties in our blend are among the oldest in the wine world, and have grown alongside one another in the sun and rain and wind for generations, making them old friends too. Our blend combines several stellar Texas varieties and displays aromas of bright citrus and stone fruits. It pairs beautifully with light, warm-weather meals, creamy cheeses, and good conversations with old friends.
