Badischer Winzerkeller Breisach, Spätburgunder Trocken 2016, Baden, Germany
Tasting Note: A Spätburgunder that follows the dominant, every-day, German-pinot-noir style.
Medium-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of red currant, black cherry, black plum, cranberry, blackberry, strawberry and hibiscus.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied Spätburgunder has medium-intensity, red-and-black-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and ripe, medium tannin.
The wine is straightforward with bright fruit.
A good midweek pinot noir.
