Bodega Norton, Gernot Langes 2016, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina
Tasting Note: A red blend from the best of the Bodega Norton estate that provides a reserved take on the Bordeaux-blend style elevating complexity over ripeness.
Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of violet petal, red currant, blackberry and black tea with hints of bramble.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied red blend has medium-intensity flavors suggested on the nose with a supple texture and slightly-grippy, medium tannin.
The wine is balanced and has a perfumed aroma that will make you want to nose it as much as drink it.
Bottle Note: I am pleased to share this special wine with you, which reflects the enthusiasm and dedication of our winemaking team. I am truly convinced that a great wine is achieved in the winery but is born in the vineyard and this philosophy has always guided and inspired us. The finest malbec, cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc from our estate’s oldest vines are selected for this blend and we bottle only from the barrels in which the wine has had exceptional evolution. I hope you enjoy this wine as much as we have enjoyed creating it. David Bonomi, Winemaker, Gernot Langes-Swarovski, Michael W.J. Haistruck, President & CEO. Bottle 02982 of 3,990.
