Bodega Norton Privada Family Blend 2016 – A Reserve Malbec with a Streak of Underlying Complexity

Bodega Norton, Privada Family Blend 2016, Mendoza, Argentina

Tasting Note: A reserve malbec from a cooler vintage with a streak of underlying complexity that gives the wine an extra bit of elegance.

Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of just-ripened black plum, bramble, red cherry, red currant, blossom and forest floor.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied red blend has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose completing with a medium-plus finish.

There is balance and a supple texture that adds to the silkiness of the blend.

Bottle Note: The name “Privada” refers to the Langes-Swarovski family’s private reserve, originally enjoyed with only our closest friends. The grapes come from our oldest vineyards, from 50 to 90 years old, located in Luján de Cuyo. Now, we have reserved some of this harmonious blend of malbec, cabernet sauvignon and merlot to share with you. “We recognize ourselves as instruments of nature. Each of our wines reveals the sum total of our climate, our soil and our creative passion. All these elements live in every bottle of our wine and are finally shown in the pleasure of those who enjoy it.” – Gernot Langes-Swarovski. 40% Malbec, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot.
