Carmim, Monsaraz Reserva Red 2018, Alentejo DOC, Portugal
Tasting Note: A fulsome, Alentejo red blend with a robust fruit structure.
Deep-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of boysenberry, blackberry, black plum, red currant, red cherry, black olive, cranberry and blossom.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied red blend, has medium-intensity, black-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and slightly-grippy, medium-plus tannin.
The wine is straightforward and hearty.
Pair with grilled meats and serve slightly-chilled to enhance the acid structure.
Bottle Note: Alicante Boushet, Trincadeira, Touriga Nacional. This fine quality red wine was produced in the lands of Reguengos de Monsaraz, a county in the heart of Alentejo region. The carefully selected grapes give the wine its nicely matured blackberry and raspberry aromas, intermingled with hints of spices. The taste is rich and deep, with minerality and a highly aromatic complexity. Winemaker, Rui Veladas e Tiago Garcia.
