Château du Hureau Tuffe Saumur Champigny 2018 – A Brainy, Loire Cabernet Franc

Château du Hureau, Tuffe Saumur Champigny 2018, Loire, France, Wine Casual

Château du Hureau, Tuffe Saumur Champigny 2018, Loire, France

Tasting Note: A very terroir-centric version of cabernet franc from Saumur Champigny that delights the senses.

Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of black plum, damp forest floor, pencil shavings, crushed-dried violet blossom, chalk, raspberry and black tea.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied Saumur-Champigny had medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and completing with a long, fruit-and-herbal finish.

The wine is robust and complex with a slightly-velvety texture.

A brainy, Loire cabernet franc.

Yummy!
