Concha Y Toro, Serie Riberas Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2016, Ribera del Tinguiririca, Marchigue, Chile
Tasting Note: A cabernet sauvignon with flavor concentration, appealing aromatics and a plush body that checks all the boxes.
Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic nose of blackberry, black plum, raspberry, tobacco, hints of green vegetable, blossom and clove baking spice.
On the palate the dry, full-bodied cabernet sauvignon has velvety, medium-plus tannin and medium acidity with tart, black fruit on the medium-plus finish.
The wine is smooth in texture with mid-palate complexity and balance between the fruit and tannin structure.
Great value, especially for the price point.
Bottle Note: From cooler vineyards near riverbanks in Chile, Concha Y Toro carefully selects its grapes to the make the highest quality wines with an emphasis on freshness: Serie Riberas, Gran Reserva. On the sunny, northern banks of the Tinguiririca River, our cabernet sauvignon vineyards deliver this beautifully balanced wine of Damson, black currant and chocolate nuances.
