Tasting Note: If you like Decero malbec as much as I do, this is your next logical offering to try in the Decero line up.

Brilliantly deep purple in color and with chalky red fruit on the nose, the tannins in the wine are in perfect balance. Smooth in the background with just enough “interesting” to make you want to take another sip.

Hints of oak and tobacco play well with the low acidity and black cherry and plum fruit. This cabernet is medium-bodied even though it appears to be full-bodied in your glass.

This wine could be enjoyed by itself or easily combined with a meal.

Bottle Note: Born of a bare patch of soil in the foothills of the Andes, true to the meaning of ‘decero,’ our wines, like our estate, have been handcrafted ‘from scratch.’ Remolinos Vineyard, Agrelo: Located at 3500 feet, in the renowned Mendoza sub-appellation of Agrelo, our one-of-a-kind Remolinos Vineyard takes its name from ‘remolinos,’ little whirlwinds which keep the grapes in perfect condition. 2012 Decero Cabernet Sauvignon: Decero cabernet is a handcrafted expression of its unique site of origin. Handpicked April 25th – May 4th 2012, this wine has an elegant structure which is enhanced by 14 months maturation in French oak barrels.
