Tasting Note: This Côte de Brouilly presents a concentrated version of gamay with a more substantial tannin structure as is this petite appellation’s signature.

Medium-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of red plum, bruised blackberry, red cherry and hibiscus with hints of red currant.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied Côte de Brouilly has medium-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and well-integrated, medium tannin.

There is midpalate complexity that would pair well with simple and more substantial dishes including red meat.

Serve slightly chilled to show the wine at its best.

Bottle Note: Wine growers in the Beaujolais region for over a century, the Jambon family owns Domaine de Maisons Neuves, located in the commune of Saint Lager, at the foot of the famous Brouilly Hill, in the heart of the Beaujolais wine region.
