Tasting Note: A 20-year-old tawny port that combines aged ripe fruit and rancio aromas and flavors in an eminently-pleasing style.

Tawny in color, this wine has an aromatic, pronounced-intensity nose of fig, toasted almonds, butter, bread dough, raisin, dried blackberry, brioche caramel and walnut.

On the palate the sweet, full-bodied Port has pronounced-intensity, medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and ripe, medium tannin.

Port can sometimes be straightforward and simple, and fortunately this Port is the polar opposite.

I first enjoyed this Port at Graham’s Vinum Restaurant in Oporto, Portugal, and it tastes just as good here in the U.S. as it did when I was sitting in their wine bar and restaurant.

Enjoy both as aperitif or paired with toasted nuts at the end of a meal.

Oloroso-sherry lovers will especially adore because of the Port’s generous autolytic character.

Bottle Note: For over 190 years, excellence has been Graham’s benchmark. The Symington family crafts the quality of Graham’s Tawny Ports from harvest to cellar, using the experience of 5 generations. Each Graham’s Tawny Port bottle is the result of Graham’s art of blending and once opened, unravels fine aromas and layers or rich flavors. Served Chilled.
