Tasting Note: A curiously-rare Beaujolais Villages Nouveau to celebrate the newest wine vintage.

Medium-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of strawberry, red plum, bubblegum, raspberry and blossom.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied Beaujolais Villages Nouveau has medium-intensity, red-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and slightly-grippy, medium tannin ultimately completing with a medium-plus finish.

The wine is fun and straightforward just as nouveau wine should be.

One of the better nouveau wines from the 2021 vintage.
