Tasting Note: A Chinon in a slightly riper in style than you may normally associate with Loire cabernet franc that is due to a favorable warm-weather vintage in 2017.

Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of dried violet blossom, black plum, blueberry, black raspberry, dried cherry and forest floor.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied Chinon has medium-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity, and slightly-grippy, medium-plus tannin.

The wine is complex with a slightly-velvety texture.

A good Chinon to introduce a friend to.
