El Enemigo Cabernet Franc 2011 – A Cabernet-Sauvignon-Drinker’s Cabernet Franc

El Enemigo, Cabernet Franc 2011, Mendoza, Argentina, Wine Casual

El Enemigo, Cabernet Franc 2011, Mendoza, Argentina

Tasting Note: A new-world cabernet franc dripping in ripe-fruit flavors and delightful flavor intensity.

Deep-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of black plum, red currant, raspberry puree, bramble and red cherry.

On the palate the dry, full-bodied cabernet franc has medium-plus-intensity, red-and-black-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by ripe, medium-plus tannin.

There is midpalate complexity and balance between the fruit and tannin structure.

A cabernet-sauvignon-drinker’s cabernet franc.

Bottle Note: At the end of the journey, we remember only one battle: the one we fought against ourselves, the original enemy. The one that defends us. Adrianna Catena, Historian and Vintner, Alejandro Vigil, Winemaker.
