Esporão, Monte Velho Red 2019, Vinho Regional Alentejano, Portugal
Tasting Note: A straightforward red blend to pair with a midweek meal.
Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of red plum, red currant, red cherry and blossom with hints of blackberry.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied red blend has medium intensity, red-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and medium tannin.
Open and enjoy without thinking.
Tasting Note: This label design is inspired by the traditional Reguengos de Monsaraz’s ‘Mantas’ (rugs or blankets) patterns. They are part of the cultural identity of the region where this handcraft has been made for centuries. Also following the region’s winemaking tradition, its diversity of grape varieties and vinification techniques, this wine reveals the typical character of the region: rich aromas, soft palate and an excellent gastronomic aptitude. Aragonez 40%, Trincadeira 35%, Touriga Nacional 20%, Syrah 5%.
