Tasting Note: A red-fruit forward red blend with added oomph that will make you want to seek out more Portuguese wines.

Deep-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of rhubarb, raspberry, red currant, blackberry and dried cranberry.

On the palate the dry, full-bodied wine has medium-plus-intensity, red-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and ripe, medium-plus tannin.

The wine has a wisp of velvetiness in texture and has an enjoyable finish.

Good enough to make a house wine or bring to a midweek dinner party.
