Tasting Note: This chianti will make you pucker – in a good way.

Medium-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic nose of fresh, ripe raspberry, red-and-black cherry, rose petal, black plum and dark, red fruit.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied wine has flavors of sour red-and-black cherry fruit and chalky high acidity.

The wine abounds with midpalate complexity along with flavors of tea leaves and licorice underpinned by high tannin.

Bottle Note: Fontodi Chianti Classico is made from organic sangiovese grapes grown in our vineyards located in the “Conca d’Oro” of Panzano in Chianti. Only natural growing methods are used. Aging takes place in barriques of Allier and Tronçais for 18 months.
