Tasting Note: From Gary Farrell’s Ritchie Vineyard, this single-vineyard-designated chardonnay is filled with refreshing, tart green fruit.

Pale-intensity lemon in color, this wine has a medium-intensity nose of golden apple, green pear, lemon zest, nectarine, starfruit and blossom.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied chardonnay has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and completing with a medium-plus finish.

The lightest touch of oak adds depth and is in balance with the fruit.

There are hints of chalk in the midpalate that are reminiscent of Chablis from Burgundy.

A chardonnay with lift.
