Gary Farrell, Rochioli Vineyard Chardonnay 2017, Russian River Valley, California

Tasting Note: Produced from fruit from Rochioli Vineyard and Winery, this chardonnay is brimming with brightness, precision and freshness.

Pale-intensity lemon in color, this wine has a medium-intensity nose of fuji apple, pear, starfruit, white peach and lemon citrus with hints of vanilla baking spice.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied chardonnay has medium-plus-intensity, orchard-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium-plus acidity and completing with a citrus-and-vanilla-infused, medium-plus finish.

The light touch of oak gives the wine added structure and enhances its minerality along with other chalky elements in the midpalate.

A complex chardonnay with pleasing acidity that leaves you wanting more.
