Gustave Goussard, Respect n°1 Brut Champagne, France

Tasting Note: A good pinot-noir-based champagne with creamy, green fruit.

Pale-intensity lemon in color with medium-to-small-sized bubbles, this wine has a nose of brioche, green-apple slice, caramel, bosc pear, bread dough and lemon-citrus peel.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied brut Champagne is creamy with medium-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium-plus acidity and completing with a medium finish.

The wine has some midpalate complexity and would work well as an aperitif to begin a meal.

Bottle Note: Pinot Noir – 100%, Vintage 2011, Disgorged – 1/2014, Lot N° 1261403.
