Deep-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of rhubarb, raspberry, red currant, blackberry and dried cranberry.
On the palate the dry, full-bodied wine has medium-plus-intensity, red-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and ripe, medium-plus tannin.
The wine has a wisp of velvetiness in texture and has an enjoyable finish.
Good enough to make a house wine or bring to a midweek dinner party.
Bottle Note: This wine reflects our family passion for this region’s bright and characterful terroir, and our respect for the ancestral tradition of winemaking and environment. Alicante Bouschet 50%, Touriga Nacional 30%, Syrah 10% and Cabernet Sauvignon 10%. Soil: Clay and schist. Aging: 4 months in 400L oak barrels. Tasting Note: Ruby hue, aromas of red berries well balanced with spices and balmy notes. Elegant and rich, tannins are smooth. Food Matches: Mediterranean food, lamb and veal. Service Temperature: 16°C/61°F. 250,000 bottles were produced.
