Herdade do Esporão, Reserva Red 2014, Alentejo, Portugal
Tasting Note: A red blend from Portugal that has the concentration, complexity and aromatics that will make you want to curl up with a glass of it on a cold evening.
Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has a fragrant and aromatic nose of dried cherry, fig, strawberry, black currant and hibiscus.
On the palate the dry, full-bodied Alentejo red blend delivers fruit and floral aromas suggested on the nose supported by velvety, medium-plus tannin.
The wine displays flavor concentration, mid-palate complexity and balance between the fruit and floral elements as well as the tannin structure.
An impressive red blend with structure.
