Herdade do Esporão, Reserva Red 2018, Alentejo DOC, Portugal
Tasting Note: A bold, Reserva Alentejo red blend bursting with beautiful black fruit.
Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of blueberry, blackberry, black currant, red cherry and dried violet blossom.
On the palate the dry, full-bodied red blend has medium-plus-intensity, black-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by ripe, slightly-grippy, medium-plus-tannin ultimately completing with a blackberry-infused, medium-plus finish.
The wine has a thick midpalate with some notes of complexity.
A red blend to pair with red meat, grilled dishes and substantial sauces.
Bottle Note: Estate owned vineyards with more than 20 years old. Blend of traditional Alentejo grape varieties. Aged for 12 months in barrels. Herdade do Esporão’s boundaries remain unchanged more than 750 years. To produce better wines, we farm under the principles of integrated production. Original label art work by Anne Geene.
