Il Bastardo, Sangiovese 2015, Toscana IGT, Tuscany, Italy
Tasting Note: A solid sangiovese that would pair well with tomato-based dishes and many an Italian recipe.
Deep ruby-purple in color, this wine has an aromatic nose of red cherry, red currant, and black plum with a hint of vanilla baking spice.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus bodied red shows tart red fruit flavors suggested on the nose along with high acidity that completes with a medium finish.
A good value especially for the price point.
