Jacky et Jean-Philippe Blot, Domaine de La Butte Bourgueil 2018, Loire, France

Tasting Note: A relaxed Bourgueil with some welcome wisps of concentration in a definitively-black-fruit palate experience.

Deep-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of black plum, raspberry puree, blackberry, forest floor and dried violet blossom with hints of vanilla baking spice.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied Bourgueil has medium-intensity, black-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and well-integrated, medium tannin ultimately completing with a medium finish.

A good straightforward Bourgueil.
