Wind Gap, Pinot Noir 2015, Sonoma Coast, Sonoma County, California

Tasting Note: A svelte pinot noir with good depth, concentration and balance between the fruit and tannin.

Medium-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of black cherry, raspberry, hibiscus, cranberry and black plum.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied pinot noir has medium-plus-intensity-berry flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and well-integrated, medium tannin.

There is midpalate concentration and depth of flavor.

Consistently-good pinot.

Bottle Note: This pinot noir is a selection of some of the finest hillside plantings in the southern part of the Sonoma Coast. Multiple expositions, elevations, clonal selections and rootstocks work together to create this gorgeously alluring and coastally-shaped wine. This wine’s grace can be attributed to traditional winemaking techniques including wild yeasts, stem-inclusion and concrete fermentations. 68 barrels/ 22,500 cases bottled.
