Krone, Twee Jonge Gezellen Vintage Rosé Cuvée Brut 2017, Western Cape, South Africa

Tasting Note: A good and affordable alternative to rosé Champagne.

Medium-intensity salmon in color, this wine has a nose of red cherry, strawberry preserve and blossom.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied rosé brut has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose along with flavors of brioche, bread dough and biscuit.

There is midpalate complexity with red fruit and brioche on the finish.

Bottle Note: Krone specializes in bottle-fermented sparkling wine matured on the lees in cool underground cellars and handcrafted throughout. For this Méthode Cap Classique rosé only the traditional French varieties are used. Salmon pink in hue, ripe berry aromas and summer fruit flavors are balanced by refreshing acidity and a creamy mousse. A wine of intense flavor yet offering finesse and elegance in true Krone style. -Twee Jonge Gezellen
