Lucien Albrecht Crémant D’Alsace Brut Rosé – A Crowdpleaser

Tasting Note: This is my summer go-to crémant because it’s rosé-colored, sparkling, delicious and makes a perfect opening to a meal.

In fact, one of my favorite restaurants regularly runs of this wine because I order it so much.

Medium-intensity salmon in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of red cherry, strawberry, white peach, golden apple, and blossom with hints of lemon zest.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied rosé crémant has medium-intensity, red-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium-plus acidity and completing with a red-cherry-and-lemon, medium-plus finish.

There are some notes of complexity along the midpalate.

I have never opened this wine and had anyone at my table not immediately enjoy it.

Bottle Note: Lucien Albrecht was one of the founding fathers of the Appellation Crémant d’Alsace. This wine is made exclusively from pinot noir. Bright pale pink in color, it reveals beautiful red fruit aromas, very fine bubbles and a full rounded palate.
