Oceana, Chablis 2015, Burgundy, France
Tasting Note: A classic Chablis.
Pale-intensity lemon in color, this wine has an aromatic nose of quince, pear drop, blossom and green apple.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied chardonnay is steely in texture with ripe medium-intensity fruit flavors suggested on the nose completing with a medium, slightly-lemon-citrusy finish.
Straightforward and good in its dimension just as a classic Chablis should.
Bottle Note: The intrigue and mystery of Chablis – a wine that cannot be reproduced – lies deep in the secrets of the earth. Influenced by the elements of sun, air, water and earth, Oceana stands alone as the most exceptional of them all, shaped by fossils and shells of mollusks and crustaceans . . . and the mystery of the mermaid.
