Pico Maccario, Lavignone Barbera D’Asti DOCG 2016, Italy

Tasting Note: A silky, restrained and understated Barbera D’Asti that would complement many a meal.

Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic nose of red cherry, rose petal, black plum and blossom.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied Barbera D’Asti echoes flavors suggested on the nose, supported by medium acidity and a silky body punctuated with ripe, medium tannin.

A food-friendly barbera that shows the grape’s softer side.

Bottle Note: Care in Preparation and Refinement: Stainless steel to preserve freshness and purity for 9 months. Further refinement in bottle bring the wine density and full flavors. Bouquet: Intense and charming with a range of enticing aromas. Cherry, plum and red berries. Flavor: Complex, good structure, harmonious fruit and prolonged velvety mouthfeel.
