Robert Stein, Dry Riesling 2019, Mudgee, New South Wales, Australia, Wine Casual

Robert Stein, Dry Riesling 2019, Mudgee, New South Wales, Australia

Tasting Note: A riesling with bright flavors of crushed-dried-honeysuckle blossom and hints of chalk along the midpalate.

Pale-intensity lemon in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of quince, green apple, white nectarine, honeysuckle and lemon-citrus zest.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied riesling has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium-plus acidity and completing with a medium-plus finish.

There is balance between the fruit and acidity.

Bottle Note: Johann Stein arrived in Australia in 1838 bringing with him select cuttings and viticultural expertise to supervise operations at Macarthur’s Camden vineyards. Generations of winemaking experience are evident in the Robert Stein portfolio of regional wines. This riesling was picked from a few different vineyards in the region, which are all above 580m altitude, expressing the ideal growing conditions of an excellent vintage in Mudgee. Classic in style with aromas of lime juice and florals, this riesling has a crispy fresh finish with natural acidity. Winemaker, Jacob Stein.
