Tasting Note: Who knew South Africa could do late-harvest gewurztraminer like a German?

Medium-intensity gold in color this wine has an aromatic nose of lychee, apple blossom, green pear, red and green apple mix and quince.

On the palate the medium-sweet, late-harvest gewurztraminer delivers flavors suggested on the nose along with hints of rose petal.

The wine is medium-plus in acidity with a smooth mouthfeel and hints of botrytis that accentuate yellow and golden fruit flavors.

There is balance between the sugar and acidity such that this wine could be enjoyed alongside a meal as well as an after-dinner finisher.

Bottle Note: Robertson may be a small town, but it’s got a big heart. Our extended family of 35 contributing farms, most of them 7th generation, shares a love and respect for the earth that shows in every bottle of our wine. Style: Always a star of the show – gewurztraminer natural white, sumptuous peach-lychee flavors given extra interest by touch of honeyed boytrytis.
