Tasting Note: A bright, unoaked chardonnay with vibrant green-fruit and a succulent midpalate.

Pale-intensity lemon-green in color, this wine has a medium-intensity nose of green apple, Asian pear, nectarine, lemon zest, pineapple and blossom.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied chardonnay has medium-plus-intensity, green-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and completing with a medium-plus finish.

There are hints of complexity, minerality and a distinct tea quality running throughout the wine that is suggestive of some degree of whole-cluster fermentation.

A good unoaked chardonnay.

Bottle Note: My husband, Ron Rubin, purchased a vineyard and winery in California achieving his forty-year dream. Knowing that I don’t like most chardonnays, he and our winemaker collaborated on a style that Ron knows I love in all white wines; crisp, light, a touch of sweetness and easy to enjoy. Together they surprised me with this new wine, Pam’s Un-Oaked Chardonnay. I LOVE this wine and hope YOU will too! Proprietor, Ron Rubin. Family owned in California.
