Tasting Note: A Russian River Valley pinot noir filled with plush fruit and buttressed by floral aromatics.

Medium-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of red currant, strawberry jam, cranberry, dried red cherry, black plum, rhubarb and rosehip.

On the palate the dry, full-bodied pinot noir has medium-plus-intensity, red-and-black-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and slightly-grippy, medium-plus tannin ultimately completing with a long, red-cherry finish.

There are some punctuated moments of concentration on the midpalate that give way to some complex layers of fruit.

A pinot noir you could share with friends that would be a crowd pleaser.

Bottle Note: The forty-year dream. Since studying viticulture and enology at UC Davis in 1971, I’ve dreamed of producing exceptional wines at a great value to create a beautiful experience for you. The vineyards for this wine are located in the heart of the Russian River Valley, the coolest, foggiest growing region in Sonoma County, California. Tasting Notes: Bright nose of cherry and plum lead the way to hints of cocoa layered with spice aromas. The bouquet is rounded out with toasty vanilla oak and the berry flavors offer a balanced and elegant finish. This very approachable wine offers soft tannins, luscious fruit with a gentle oak mid-palate and earthy lingering finish. Proprietor, Ron Rubin.
