Scott Paul, Ribbon Ridge Vineyard Pinot Noir 2016, Ribbon Ridge, Oregon
Tasting Note: A solid pinot noir with a mostly straightforward fruit profile.
Medium-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of strawberry, red cherry, dried raspberry and blueberry with hints of baking spice and blossom.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied pinot noir has medium-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and medium-plus tannin.
The wine is varietally correct.
Bottle Note: Blended with the best barrels from Ribbon Ridge Vineyard, our 2016 pinot noir is unforgettable. The marine sedimentary soils contribute to the wine’s rich, soft balanced mouthfeel, while the mix of Pommard and Dijon clones and soft-touch winemaking captures the heart of the Ribbon Ridge AVA.
